This game was quite boring, as we only got a 0-1 result, but in many ways this was important in many ways to the Mid-Table sides. Sheffield United slip further as they are bottom of the table and West Ham jump to 8th. There were quite a few key points to be made about this game, so without wasting any further time, let’s get to it.
Let us start with West Ham. They were the worthy winners and outplayed Sheffield United in every aspect of the game. They had more shots and were more effective in the build-up play. It however remained goalless till half-time. Then in the 56th minute, Haller scored the winning goal for West ham. Sheffield United had chances, but they did not have the firepower. Overall, a “get the job” done sort of performance from West Ham.
Can not blame Sheffield United. They tried their hardest but couldn’t get the job done. They do not have the firepower necessary to survive in the Premier League by the looks of it. A draw and 4 losses is not a good way to start your season. Currently, Sheffield United only have 1 point. This is quite a disappointment from a Mid-table side and they should be utterly distressed with their season so far.
So that is it for this review. West Ham take all 3 points but need to make more scoring opportunities. Sheffield need to go back to the drawing board to think up a new paln as their current one certainty is not working. The next game is Leeds United against Arsenal. Until then, goodbye and take care.
